Surah Yunus, 10:47: "And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], 'Worship Allah and avoid Taghut.'" (also Surah Ghafir 40:78)
This means Allah sent many prophets to all nations throughout history. The exact number is not specified, but the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said there were 124,000 prophets in total.
Hadith Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 2239, classified as Hasan (good)
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah sent among the people prophets and messengers, and there were 124,000 of them."
This means there were many prophets sent by Allah, but only some names are known to us, like Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, Musa (Moses), Ibrahim (Abraham), and Isa (Jesus).
So, even though we don't know all their names, we believe in all the prophets sent by Allah to guide people to the right path.
A simple way to think about it: Imagine Allah sent many teachers to different groups of people to help them learn about Allah and how to be good. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the last and final teacher for all of us.
**Takeaway:**
Allah sent many prophets to guide people. We believe in all of them even if we don't know their names. We follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as the last prophet.
Allah knows best.
